* Provide leadership for the development and implementation of processes, workflows, and policies which improve the user''''s access to information resources in the evolving scholarly communication environment. Lead the development, planning, implementation, and assessment of Scholarly Resources and Discovery programs and projects, collaborating with other units as appropriate. Monitor and make effective use of all resources under purview.

* Manage and supervise staff and faculty in Scholarly Resources and Discovery, specifically in Collection Analytics and Resource Access. Provide guidance and professional development opportunities and delegate responsibility.

*Direct activities related to the licensing, procurement, and management of Libraries resources, including collections, software, and systems. Serve as liaison to JMU Procurement and as Libraries contracts administrator. Negotiate agreements for best price and compliance with University and state policies. Ensure that both the Libraries and the vendor adhere to terms of contract.

* Collaborate in the overall planning and management of the Libraries.
