Board of Trustees (Visitors)

The Board of Trustees category contains links to scanned original pages as well as a searchable typed transcription of the minutes of the Board of Trustees, 1908-1914.  The digital version was created as a .pdf from a Microsoft Word documents and is fully searchable with an Adobe Acrobat reader.  The master images were scanned as 400dpi .tif files, from which .jpg derivatives were created at 72 dpi, with 1600 pixels on the long side of the image.  Individual images were then combined as pdfs with Adobe Acrobat 8.11 using 8.11 Image Conversion Plug-In, Version 1.6 in units of less than 10mb each.  Due to browser compatability issues with Mozilla Firefox, pdfs were converted using Acrobat Distiller 6.0, Version 1.4. Metadata for each set of images was compiled based on the model set forth in the CDP Metadata Working Group's Dublin Core Metadata Best Practices Version 2.1.1.  General metadata that applies to each scanned item in the Board of Trustees minute book is listed below.
