Finals Week Study Room Giveaway!

This year, Libraries staff are meeting students where they are during finals week... literally. We all know they are in the Libraries, so obviously that means adding in some friendly competition!

On Friday, April 19, 2019, JMU Libraries social media will launch the following question: "How many total chairs are in Carrier and Rose Libraries combined?"

Students will have a chance to submit their answers via social media or via physical entry boxes at Carrier and Rose's Ask the Library desks. On Tuesday, April 23, 2019, at 12:00pm, the contest will end, and the submitted answer that is closest to the number without going over will earn access for themselves and friends to a study room for 24 hours!*

Details of the study room prize package:

Winner and friends will be granted reserved access to a Carrier Library study room from Thursday, April 25, 2019, at 9:00am to Friday, April 26, 2019, at 9:00am.
Inside the room, there will be snacks and surprise prizes!

Answer guesses can be submitted via comment on contest-related social media posts across Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, via direct/private message, or via physical entry box with form.

This is the first time the JMU Libraries Department of Outreach and Partnerships has planned something like this, and the hope is that this trial run will allow for further growth and possibilities for similar promotions in the future!

*In the event of a tie, the winner will be chosen using a random number generator.
