Welcome (back) to campus! As you settle into the fall semester, we invite you to try some of these 7 things that we bet you didn't know you could do at JMU Libraries:
Design and 3D print your own creations and explore virtual reality in the Makeries. Find these new makerspaces in the basement of Carrier and the 1st floor of Rose.
Learn media production techniques with MadLab. These free, hands-on workshops cover iMovie, InDesign, infographics, photography, and more.
Make citations and bibliographies easy with RefWorks, an online citation management tool. If you're trying RefWorks for the first time, you'll create an account with your JMU email address.
Schedule an appointment with a librarian. The librarians are eager to work with students and faculty at any stage of the research process.
Experience the world of music at the Music Library, with CDs, vinyl, sheet music, and online music. New this year: check out vinyl & CDs for 4 weeks.
Explore tons of free online images, videos, ebooks, articles & more. These are all in huge "databases" that are not open to the general public - but they're available to you with your JMU login!
Learn new skills to advance your career with free streaming tutorials from Lynda.com. These tutorials cover hundreds of topics such as online marketing, data analysis, and filmmaking.
We hope you have a great academic year!
